I didn’t grow up learning about money. I grew up in a family of social workers and civil servants who cared deeply about helping others but didn’t have the financial knowledge or resources to teach me much about personal finance. When my parents divorced, I became a father at a young age, and a close family member became seriously ill, I had to learn those lessons quickly. With the support of people willing to teach me, along with programs like WIC, food assistance, and subsidized housing, I built a financial foundation that changed the course of my life.
I didn’t set out to become a financial planner, but I discovered I was drawn to helping people make sense of complicated financial decisions. I enjoyed translating complex concepts into practical advice and advocating for people who often felt intimidated by the traditional financial services industry. That belief eventually led Jessie Doll and me to found ReFrame Wealth, creating a firm built on evidence, relationships, and advice that always puts clients first.
Many of the people we serve have dedicated their careers to improving the world through research, medicine, education, and innovation. I believe they deserve a financial advisor who approaches their work with the same intellectual curiosity, thoughtful analysis, and commitment to doing what’s right. Helping people build greater security, opportunity, and confidence is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

I never set out to build a business. I set out to help people.
I was drawn to financial planning for two reasons: I love solving problems, especially the complicated ones, and I love building relationships. As I worked my way through the financial services industry, I realized I wanted to do more than provide financial advice. I wanted to change the way financial planning was delivered. Too often, the industry felt driven by transactions instead of relationships, with advisors working in silos rather than collaborating to solve clients’ biggest challenges.
That belief became ReFrame Wealth.
Today, I’m proud of the team we’ve built together. We believe the best financial planning comes from collaboration, thoughtful problem-solving, and genuine relationships. Every member of our team plays an important role in helping clients move forward with confidence.
As an advisor, my goal is to make every client feel seen, heard, and supported. Technical expertise is important, but it only matters if it helps people make confident decisions about their lives. I enjoy helping clients navigate retirement, education planning, and multi-generational wealth, finding thoughtful solutions that connect each piece into a plan that reflects what matters most to them.

Before my career in wealth management, I spent years as a competitive goalkeeper, and that experience still shapes how I approach my role today. I see financial planning as a team sport. As a goalkeeper, my job was to see the full field, keep everyone connected, anticipate challenges before they happened, and help the team stay calm when things became complicated.
That mindset played a big role in drawing me to ReFrame Wealth. I started at the firm as an employee and am now proud to be a partner. ReFrame’s belief that financial planning should be personal, thoughtful, and connected aligned naturally with the way I already viewed teamwork and leadership. Great planning comes from understanding the full picture, anticipating needs before they become problems, and making sure every moving piece works together toward a client’s larger goals.
In my role, I focus on helping turn expert advice into real progress for our clients. Whether coordinating complex logistics, keeping plans moving forward, or making sure nothing falls through the cracks, I take pride in helping clients feel supported, prepared, and confident throughout the process. I love being part of a team that values relationships just as much as results and works hard to support clients through every stage of life.

I often say I found financial planning by accident.
While working in my college’s Career Services office, I was asked to help prepare for an upcoming career fair. As I researched the firms attending, I connected with someone who would become one of my greatest mentors and ultimately give me my start in financial planning. He was one of the few African American CFP® professionals in the industry, and he taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career: always do what’s right for the client, and always do what you say you’re going to do.
Those principles shaped the kind of advisor I wanted to become.
After spending eight years building my career in New York, I knew it was time to return closer to family and find a firm whose values matched my own. I found that at ReFrame Wealth. The level of care, integrity, and collaboration here makes it a place where I can build meaningful relationships with clients and help them create financial plans that give them confidence, no matter what life brings. Helping people feel prepared for both the expected and the unexpected is what makes this work so rewarding.

Ask me what I love most about this job, and I’ll tell you it’s the extra question, the one that has nothing to do with asset allocation and everything to do with what someone’s afraid of or hoping for.
I learned early how much that kind of understanding matters. Growing up between two households after my parents’ divorce, I watched money move in completely different directions depending on which house I was standing in. For a long time, the feeling was simple: helpless. So I decided to learn this field inside and out, not just for myself, but so I could help others find clarity and confidence in their own financial lives.
At ReFrame, I handle technical financial planning, but my real superpower is execution. I’m the one who loves the details and works alongside our advisors to make sure the plans we create together actually happen in real life.
What I love most is that every client has a different story, different goals, different concerns, and a different definition of success. Helping bring those stories to life through thoughtful planning is why I do this work every day.

I’ve always been fascinated by people. I love learning where they’re from, what has shaped them, and how those experiences shape the way they see the world. Attending college on the opposite coast exposed me to people with different backgrounds, values, and perspectives, reinforcing just how much our experiences influence the way we think about money, family, and the future.
That curiosity led me to financial planning. Before we ever talk about investments or retirement, I want to understand you. Every financial plan should reflect your story, your values, and the life you’re working toward, not just the numbers on a spreadsheet.
Early in college, a finance professor became an incredible mentor who invested in me far beyond the classroom. He offered guidance, encouragement, and confidence when I needed it most, and he showed me that great financial advice isn’t just about expertise. It’s about listening well, meeting people where they are, and helping them move forward with confidence.
Those same principles are what drew me to ReFrame Wealth. I’m excited to continue growing alongside a team that shares those values while helping clients feel understood, supported, and confident every step of the way.
